Join us in Early Fall 2026<\/span> for an Introduction to Square Dance Event!<\/span><\/strong> Admission is FREE<\/strong><\/span>, open to the public, and no experience is required, only a desire to meet people and have fun. Singles, couples, and families (ages 13+) are all welcome. Dress is casual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 2 Introduction to Square Dance<\/span><\/strong> events that will be scheduled (you can attend either one):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone can learn to square dance!  Exercise your mind and body.  Laugh, have fun, and enjoy music and free refreshments. Experienced dancers from the sponsoring clubs, Fox Valley Mixers and Downers Grove Square Thrus, will be on hand to assist and provide dance partners to support everyone and help things move along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Square dance caller and instructor Bobby Poyner<\/a><\/strong> will lead both classes – that’s right, Callers are live people<\/em><\/strong> not scratchy records!  Y’all be dancing before ya can blurt out ‘do-Se-do’!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Square dancing is a great<\/strong><\/em> family activity !!!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
